Burma Teak boats: Excellence and Durability
Why Burmese Teak?
Burmese teak has long been identified as the most durable wood, which is a good argument in itself, but it’s also dimensionally stable, meaning it doesn’t warp much.
It also has excellent anti-slip properties, particularly well suited to ship decks.
So, when we decide to devote thousands of hours to building exceptional boats, we are proud to use the most beautiful and durable of woods, Teak, which will be the best ambassador for our work for a long time to come.
Burmese teak has long been a very luxurious wood, but today’s prices (around €25,000 M3) leave little hope of ever seeing boats built from this species again.

Burmese teak boats: know-how preserved for eternity
All our Burmese teak boats are built to last. They were all built between 1999 and 2006.
The idea was to safeguard exceptional know-how before it disappeared forever, by producing one-off pieces or mini-series. To do this, we had to take all the time we needed, without counting the cost, and without any commercial vocation.
The exceptional durability of the material alone justifies the thousands of hours devoted to scrupulous assembly and outstanding finishing.

The advantages of teak for boats: aesthetics and durability
Teak is reputed to be a rot-proof wood, which means that unlike any other wood species, the only care you need to give it is a mark of respect. If you choose to varnish your teak boat, it will probably be more for aesthetic reasons than to protect it. On the other hand, if you prefer to let it live, naturally, it will soon offer you a pretty ashen patina that will in no way alter its intrinsic qualities.
Today, we’ve decided to disperse this little family so that it can be enjoyed by as many people as possible. If you are fortunate enough to become the owner of one of these boats, you will first and foremost be the custodian of an extraordinary savoir-faire.
